The Diwali Culture Zone is a ‘must do’ to feel & experience the spirit of Diwali. Join us for an interactive and insightful experience of some of the intriguing cultural traditions and practices, both ancient and contemporary. Attendees are encouraged to experience the richness of Indian traditions through performances and interactive activities.

Activities

Things to do:

• Join in a Guru Puja, a traditional ceremony that honours spiritual masters and expresses gratitude for their knowledge. It is also a way to invite the divine into one's life. Understand its significance and take in the positivity.
• Let’s get our adrenaline flowing by playing Kho Kho, a traditional South Asian sport that dates to ancient India. It is a very popular traditional tag game from the Indian subcontinent.
• Interactive music with meaning session, if you fancy working your vocal cords.
• Hear and see an example of the ancient Kerala dance form called Kathakali which is a sacred theatre that uses dance, music, drama, makeup, and costumes to express emotions that go beyond words. Feel free to interact and ask questions or indeed simply take pictures with the performer.
• Explore the story and significance of the Mahabharat through visual art forms.
